Yesterday they put a drain in my abdomen - nasty stuff - it yielded about 8 litres - no wonder it was distended and horrible.
Today I lounged about thinking I should feel better for the removal of the fluid - but did not. Some improvement when the tube was removed however; it takes some days to settle down apparently.
Sorry for boring post!

Hi Lorna - It's Ruth here, Doug's sister. You will be surprised to hear from me no doubt but just thought I would drop you a quick line which I have been meaning to do for a very long time.
I still remember that very snowy visit to Woodbridge a couple of years ago which is probably the last time I saw you. We walked round the harbour and admired your boat and made snow angels, with the snow falling in thick flakes, before finding a warm restaurant to thaw out in.
I have never been into blogs but have been thoroughly converted by Rhoda's blog to which I am addicted (and to the Poppy pictures to which Christopher, now nearly 6, is addicted).
I can see from your blog you don't do self pity or want sympathy but wanted you to know that I do think of you often and am sending positive thoughts your way. Hope the drain helps make you more comfortable.
No reply needed
lots of love
Ruth, Huw and Christopher xxx
"litres" is not a suitable unit of measurement, you should talk in "bucketfuls".
